CHARM II: Last training course on Human Rights

CHARM II: Last training course on Human Rights
Completed Program

With the third and final training course on Human Rights, the second cycle of the European program "Civic Help for Anti-racist Measures in Youth Work" (CHARM II) will be completed. The organization “United Societies of Balkans “has successfully organized the previous two training courses on October 2013- January 2014, where the participants were people of Greek organizations and institutions who work on European Voluntary Service (EVS).

Until now, the participants had the opportunity to be trained on issues related to human rights and EVS. More specifically, the main themes of the previous trainings were focused on multiculturalism, diversity, religiousness, disability and sexuality, which were approached through theoretical, experiential and interactive methods.

This training course focuses on the theme of " Conflict Management " and during that participants will have the opportunity to learn experientially how they can handle any possible conflicts they may appear in their daily work .

However, it is worth to underline that this training will be different from the previous as one of the trainers will come from the partner of the program in Italy . The same will happen in all the partner- countries of the CHARM II, with the aim of these exchanges to enrich the course with knowledge and experience and to emphasize the European spirit of the program.

Similarly, one of the Greeks trainers will participate in the training course which will be held in March in Lithuania.

The training course will be held on 21-23 February, in Thessaloniki, with the participation of 25 people from youth organizations from all over Greece. Priority will be given to the participation of organizations that have already taken part in previous trainings of CHARM II. However, any new participation is more than welcome.

Accommodation, travel and food costs are covered 100 % from the program CHARM II, which is funded by the European Commission and specifically from the program "Fundamental Rights and Citizenship".

Finally, on 22 and 23 February, the 5th Meeting of the Informal Network of organizations which are involved in the EVS program in Greece, will be held. During the 5th meeting the members will have the opportunity to present the results of the working groups that were established during the previous meeting in January and discuss future joint activities of the Network.
